Smile (Charlie Chaplin Cover)

One of my fellow tenants, いたる氏の誕生日です。

今回は正統派ジャズというか、ベースデュオなアレンジで、映画Modern Timesでおなじみのこの曲を弾いてみました。

  2. Woooww seems like you are fairly stepping up with Japanese proficiency huh?? I'm impressed. Just keep up!!

Well, Daizawa Love Institute (often abbreviated as DLI, or 代沢恋愛総合研究所 in Japanese) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental thinktank based in the house that my fellow tenants and I share in Daizawa, Tokyo. DLI primarily aims to answer such conventional questions regarding love as "what is this thing called love?", "what is the meaning of love?", "what is it that we can only gain through loving?" and others in a contemporary, cutting-edge manner.
Last winter, we found that we have so many books written about love, even though most of us had stayed away from serious love affairs for long.
So we thought that it is time for us to establish a private thinktank, in which we re-consider about love, and possibly propose to the world old and new thoughts about love by looking back our past experiences as well as systematically reviewing a milieu of literatures written on love.
Our primary objective was not as simple as to find a girlfriend, but rather to purely think about love without any constraints from the real world.
As more than 6 months have past from the establishment and some of us have found new love, our work is getting a bit stagnant. (Love always functions as stimulator and as distractor at the same time.)
But still we, tenants in Daizawa House, like to identify ourselves as Daizawa Love Institute. This is a place where anyone can drop by to think and talk about love surrounding us.

THe link below is the initial discussion by Mr. Itaru Urikura, principal research fellow of DLI.

And here are some other outputs from DLI. (sorry all japanese)

Anyway, for the time being, I hope you have a great day:)

Thanks for the explain about DLI. SO IMPRESSIVE. Someday, I really want to drop by DLI and share some ideas on love with Mr.researchers.(I will learn more Japanese for the deep discussion in future.) could you let me attend a DLI meeting someday? Then i'll bring many academic samples based in Korea.
